Learn how to develop your voice
Here I am standing on a stage in front of an audience giving a talk earlier this year.
As a teenager I was told I would never be able to give a public speech. In fact, I was dismissed as being suitable as Head Girl at school. I was told I simply didn't have what it takes to stand in front of a room full of parents and deliver a presentation. Can you imagine how that dented my 16-year-old self's confidence?
That's why one of my passions today is helping people to do just that.
However, I don’t do "presentation skills coaching" in the traditional sense. Instead I help people to find their story and develop their voice so they leave me with the confidence and courage to be able to stand up and deliver, whether that's to a room full of people or just on a one-to-one situation.
Helping people to find their voice is one of my greatest joys. As the memoirist, poet, and civil rights activist Maya Angelou said, 'Nobody actually cares what you know until they know why you care', and this is what I help people to uncover about themselves.
